Turned lid for ceramic bowl made from macadamia tree

My parents had their macadamia tree trimmed. Unfortunately I was too slow to get any of the wood before it was cut up for firewood, but I took a few larger pieces home with me.

I turned this lid for a bowl. The rim is very thin but is surprisingly strong, and it's held up for a few years now.
