MX-5 ND Miata Phone Mount with Quad Lock - customised!

I needed a phone mount for my ND MX-5. I've previously used windscreen suction mounts but always found them annoying - the visibility out the front of the MX-5 already isn't great, and I didn't want to add more obstructions. They also tend to fail or droop over time, and vibrate around a lot.

I saw MX-5 Maina sell a custom mount but held off on buying it for ages since it looked very ugly, and it wasn't clear how it actually attached. I couldn't come up with a better solution, so I caved and bought it.

I'd recently got into the quad-lock ecosystem and really liked the high quality of the cases and various mounts. I was able to combine this car phone mount with one of the simple and cheap Quad Lock Adhesive Wall Mounts to make something that looked far nicer and was way easier to mount and un-mount the phone.
